Local Attractions

If you are in Orlando when a shuttle is scheduled to go off it is an experience not to be missed. The obvious viewing point is Kennedy Space Centre (which is a fantastic experience in itself) and a limited number of official 'public launch site' tickets are on sale before a launch. We understand that the launch can also be viewed from the KSC cinema screens "as it happens". The alternative is to view from a neighbouring town or beach. Titusville offers uninterrupted views from its waterfront across to the launch pads some miles away. Cocoa Beach is another site great for USAF launches but for shuttle launches its not as close as Titusville ( However you cant beat sipping cocktails on Cocoa Beach pier whilst waiting for a launch)
